JAIME PUTMAN is a member of our i play., Inc. sales team and the mother of two-year-old Oliver. She lives in Augusta, GA, with her husband Eli, where they have a baby girl on the way. (Due to arrive next week!)

When is your due date? Are you having a boy or a girl?  December 18th—girl. But, she’ll be here next week if not before then!

Are you ready to share the name? If not, can you tell us how you decided on the name? Her name is Lainey Renee—after both grandmothers.

Have you had any strange food cravings in your pregnancy?  Not really—watermelon early on, and then maybe a little more “sweet” stuff than I craved with Oliver.

What are you most excited about with your new arrival?  A little squishy baby girl. And bows!

What are you most nervous about?  Managing two little bitties! And, also just want to be sure Oliver feels included.

How does Oliver feel about the new baby on the way?  He seems to be excited—but, we’ll see how he is when she actually arrives. He is very interested in babies though—always stops to look at them when we see them in public. We just changed him into a bigger carseat as we’ll use his old one for Baby Girl. We started calling it his “Big Boy car seat”  and he quickly corrected us and said “No! It’s my “Big Brother car seat!” I’ve put together a fun little “goodie” bag for him to open when he gets to the hospital to meet Baby Sister for the 1st time—legos, crayons, stickers, and play-doh.

What have you been most surprised by in your pregnancy? How fast it’s gone by. With a two year old running around the house—you don’t get much opportunity to think about anything else.

What foods/dishes would you most appreciate from your  friends and family to get you through the first few weeks of having a newborn?

Breakfast

Oatmeal—easy to reheat and keeps for a while.

Lunch

Soup.

Dinner

Anything that is family friendly now that we have a toddler in the house.

What are your top must-have recommendations for other moms, from i play. and green sprouts?

i play.

Swimwear! Super cute and built in swim diapers! I always get compliments on Oliver’s “cute” swim trunks, rash guard, and hat in the summer.

Green sprouts

I loved the Muslin Wipes with Oliver – easy to wipe up burps/spit-up—so nice to just stick in your back pocket while walking around with your babe in the front carrier.

Sprout Ware Infant Feeding Spoons—fit perfectly in mom’s hand! Even when I’ve purchased them for other friends who are “experienced” moms—they LOVE them.

Baby Food Cubes—great for storing baby food purees and then later—perfect size for toddler snacks.

What kind of baby shower did you have?  No shower this time around. Poor second child.

Aside from iplay. and green sprouts, which you obviously love, what was the favorite gift you received at your shower? One of my dearest friends knitted Baby Lainey a receiving blanket. She did the same for Oliver as a gift and I was thrilled to receive such a precious and thoughtful gift this time around!

Let’s talk about *you* for a minute! If you could have anything for Christmas, what would it be? New Biking Shoes! My dog chewed the heels out of my last pair and I didn’t buy a new pair because I learned we were having a second baby. I really look forward to getting back on my mountain bike in the New Year!
