When is your due date? Are you having a boy or a girl?
Our little boy is due to arrive on December 23rd! We will see if that’s right. I’m just hoping he arrives in 2012!
Are you ready to share the name? If not, can you tell us how you decided on the name?
Nope! It’s a secret and we have both been so good about keeping it hush! We did go to Barnes and Noble to look through baby name books before we decided and before we announced we were pregnant. (The picture below shows our pregnancy announcement!) However, we can share the initials, WWG. We also played a game at one of my showers where everyone tried to guess his first and middle name. Some were close but no one was exact – and it’s not Willie Wonka!
Have you had any strange food cravings in your pregnancy?
Not really! I have definitely eaten more ice cream that I usually do and one week while grocery shopping Griff pointed out that I had purchased 5 items that were cinnamon related, but other than that nothing crazy!
What are you most excited about with your new arrival? Just seeing what he looks like and getting to know him!
What are you most nervous about? Delivery!
What have you been most surprised by in your pregnancy? I think I have been most surprised at how easy and uneventful my pregnancy has been. I am very thankful and fortunate for this and hope that it continues throughout labor, delivery and his life!
What foods/dishes would you most appreciate from your friends and family to get you through the first few weeks of having a newborn?
Breakfast

What kind of baby shower did you have?
I was fortunate enough to have three! I had one in my hometown hosted by my two best friends and with the help of my mom. Everything was themed towards his room colors–navy, yellow, and gray with some “You are my sunshine” themed items. It was fabulous with lots of special details.
Then I had a fun shower here in Asheville Hosted by my wonderful friend Melissa with lots of my Asheville lady friends. It was very special to have my group of girl friends here in Asheville come together to celebrate Baby Boy Gamble and Melissa added lots of DIY touches including the favors that were mini buttons for everyone to take home. And then of course I had my i play. shower which is always so special and we had apple pie!
Aside from iplay. and green sprouts, which you obviously love, what was the favorite gift you received at your shower?
Anything handmade! We received some knitted and crocheted items such as blankets, hats, washcloths and those kind of items are so special because of the time the person put into them and the fact that no other baby will have one like it!
Let’s talk about *you* for a minute! If you could have anything for Christmas, what would it be? New clothes that aren’t maternity and a bottle of wine!
